Let this “Blog” be a modern Case-Study that can help the vulnerable (women, widows, children, stigmatized/stereotyped, sick, and disabled) against African society's predictors who prey on the weak and vulnerable. Especially this case study to emphasize on putting a magnifying mirror to the close-by relatives and people with authority, who are trusted to care for and supervise rights of the vulnerable people by just not getting a blank check from the family, community and society at large without a check and balance system.

Well said and thought through. Let technology lift up Africa from its darkness and Africans to see the sun-shine. The World's spot-lights have ignored Africa for so long. My be heros like author of this Blog can utilize technology and incentivize change that has lasting legacy to Africa. That's the beauty of Diasporah, to effect change in their native countries, of which Africa needs greatly.
ReplyDeleteWe all got traditions, rooted from Adam and Eve. Can we sacrifice our first born to gods like Abraham attempted to or the way his ancestors did? No way, it will be a crime.
ReplyDeleteTherefore, traditions and culture get outdated. In this case, some of the Chagga traditions and culture values need to go. They foster criminal activity i.e. oppressing the widows, women, young, elderly, disabled and the vulnerable. It us common sense and open minded advanced technological era. This cannot be let to reoccur again.
